About Me

I am currently a Year Up student that is focusing on the hardware and programming tracks within the program. Coming from a Computer Science background, my main interests in IT concern web development, software programming, and systems configuration, and I hope to continue branching out into learning more about and using software applications. While I am still fairly uncertain on the exact career path I would like to take, I feel that venturing into web development and/or cybersecurity would be a great fit for me. After graduating from Year Up, I plan to go back and finish my Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and attend a graduate program in a related field soon after. I have experience in creating and maintaining websites and web applications as this has become a hobby of mine.

Other hobbies of mine are drawing, reading, writing online, and exploring places I haven't yet. I also really like to eat...literally all foods except tree nuts (allergy plus peanuts aren't nuts!), celery, and eggs. Besides these, I am always spending my free time learning more about a ton of different things. I am a daughter of two Ghanaian immigrants and I have two very young sisters.
